Lionel Messi has quickly settled into life at Inter Miami and now the seven time Ballon d'Or winner is buying a multi-million dollar mansion to prove it.
The World Cup winner only made his debut on July 21, announcing himself with a match-winning free-kick in typical fashion.
He has since gone on to score 11 goals in 11 appearances, helping Inter Miami's lift their first-ever trophy, the Leagues Cup. While the little magician also guided them to the final of the US Open Cup and dragged them back into contention for the MLS play-offs.It is unsurprising, therefore, that Messi is keen to stay in the area, having purchased a stunning waterfront mansion in the exclusive area of Fort Lauderdale.The property will reportedly set him back $10.8 million .
Messi's contract with the MLS side is due to expire in 2025 when they are expected to move into a new 25,000-seater stadium outside Fort Lauderdale, though it remains to be seen whether he will still be in the frame at that stage. The 36-year-old is currently away on international duty with Argentina, where he is battling vastly different conditions in Bolivia.
