The average annual salary in England’s top tier of women’s football was estimated at between £25,000 and £27,000 last year. Meanwhile, the Premier League equivalent figure exceeded £3million. The women’s team received bonuses of £50,000 each from the FA for winning last summer's Euros and are reportedly asking for a bonus of £100,000 each should they win the World Cup on Sunday.
The Cumbria-born player has revealed that the team never pack up their bags from their base hotel as they are so confident that they will return for the final.
