Emergency services have responded to the incident on Skinner Lane
Witnesses have reported emergency services are struggling to stop the fire alarms that have been going off since around 8.30pm and people are getting annoyed.Live as Station Road blocked near Horsforth station after 'serious' crash with police and paramedics on scene
One witness, who lives in the building, said: "Around 8.30 we heard the fire alarms going off and thought it was just someone's nuggets burning in the oven or a test. Then we hear footsteps and everyone begun running down the stairs of the flats. Residents looked worried and were wrapped up in dressing gowns, blankets, and wearing hoodies. I was really concerned when I saw how many people were coming out of the building.
"We went down the stairs and saw load of people gathered on the road outside. Next thing we here the fire engine coming down and I thought oh this really must be a fire. Within seconds four fire engines came in and I was getting really worried. "The fire fighters got out and one began looking at the alarm system. They have been trying to get in touch with the alarm company but can't get through. Apparently someone broke the break glass on one of the floors."
