has been stopped in both directions after a 'police incident.' Cars have been "temporarily" halted following the incident which occurred between junction 21A and junction 22, with Leicestershire Police currently at the scene.
A tweet posted by National Highways: East Midlands at 7.17am read: "The #M1 between J21A and J22 near #Leicester, traffic has been temporarily STOPPED in both directions due to a @LeicsPoliceRPU incident. We will keep you updated."
