Campaigners have gathered outside a Wythenshawe facility
Mitie, a major services firm with an office in Wythenshawe, is one of a number of companies that support the government-run Manston migrant processing centre. The centre, in Kent, has made headlines this week after revelations that 4,000 people were being detained for weeks in a site intended to hold 1,600 for a matter of days
Today, furious protesters have gathered outside Mitie's Manchester facility in a bid to show their frustration with conditions at the Kent camp. The group brough banners and flags and arrived around 11am.Security staff at the office were seen asking the protesters to move from outside the office building but they have refused to move.
