A number of road closures were put in place
A number of diversions and road closures were put in place in Nottinghamshire on Sunday morning, September 24, for the 2023 Robin Hood Half Marathon. Hundreds of runners of varying abilities began started the course this morning with the race expected to continue for several hours.
A number of road closures are currently in place and it is also having an impact on public transport, particularly bus services. At 11.18am, Nottingham City Transport said in a Tweet: "There are severe delays on Orange 36 due to their lengthy diversion route aroundWe will bring you any updates on traffic in and around Nottingham through the live blog below.
Marathon is underway. There is no service to Queens Drive, Clifton Bridge North or through the Meadows until approx 14:00.
