King Charles III arrives at Westminster Hall to a fanfare of trumpets where both Houses of Parliament express condolences to the new monarch and his wife - live updates
Her Majesty was taken to the Palace of Holyroodhouse from Balmoral on Sunday.
She will remain at St Giles' Cathedral during a service of prayer and reflection on her life, due to be held later and attended by the King, the Queen Consort, and other family members.In London, the King and The Queen Consort will travel to Westminster Hall this morning, where Charles will make an address and both Houses of Parliament will meet to express their condolences at the death of The Queen.
They will then travel to the Palace of Holyroodhouse, where the Ceremony of the Keys will take place before the procession to St Giles' Cathedral. This evening, Charles and Camilla will receive a motion of condolence, tabled by the First Minister at the Scottish Parliament, and attend a reception.
