Liverpool have completed deals for Leicester City midfielder Trey Nyoni and West Ham United centre-back Amara Nallo
Liverpool have bolstered their Academy ranks with the signings of 16-year-old duo Leicester City midfielder Trey Nyoni and West Ham centre-back Amara Nallo.
Highly-rated midfielder Nyoni, who turned 16 in June, broke into the Leicester under-18s side as a 15-year-old last season and made 13 appearances in the U18 Premier League South, while also featuring twice in the FA Youth Cup. "It's really good to see Trey get on the scoresheet with a great individual goal," said Leicester U18s coach Adam Barradell after Nyoni netted in a win over Brighton in March. "He moved into the U18s squad just before Christmas and he’s getting to grips with U18s football. He’s a young boy and he’s had a good impact on the group which is pleasing to see.”
“I would describe Amara as a Rolls Royce of a centre-back,” said Hammers U16s coach Carlton Cole earlier this year. “He has a great left foot and is elegant when he moves with the ball. He can play the ball with both feet and has been working on his heading as well. He’s a player who has a high ceiling.”
