Liverpool will appeal against Alexis Mac Allister's sending-off for a challenge on Ryan Christie in Saturday's win over Bournemouth.
Match of the Day host Gary Lineker described the decision as a "nonsense" on social media.
Both decisions were awarded by referee Thomas Bramall without interference from the video assistant referee .
