I first noticed something was wrong in October 2014 when I noticed puckering [] down the side of my breast. I didn’t have a lump.
I had my six sessions of chemo in January 2015 and radiotherapy, so finished my active treatment in June/July 2015. I thought it would be around a 12-month wait before being put forward for my reconstruction. The support I received during my breast cancer was amazing, but when you finish active treatment, there is often a feeling that you’re “left to it”.
