Liz Truss's phone believed to have been hacked by Russian spies while she was foreign secretary
It also claimed private conversations between Ms Truss and Kwasi Kwarteng criticising Mr Johnson fell into the hackers’ hands. Spies suspected of working for Russian president Vladimir Putin hacked Liz Truss’s phone and viewed top secret info when she was foreign secretary, it is claimed.
The breach was reportedly discovered when Ms Truss was running for the Tory leadership in the summer, but details were suppressed by then-prime minister Boris Johnson and Cabinet Secretary Simon Case. The Government has been urged to launch an urgent investigation into the alleged attack by opposition parties.
