Scotland has a number of beautiful spots dotted across the country from in and around Glasgow to further north, including the Highlands and islands.
In a survey conducted by hotel chain Premier Inn, an eye-tracking study of over 50 of the world’s most beautiful lakes, rivers and waterfalls to reveal which the human eye is drawn to the most.Whilst several places across the world were named in the list, in the UK - specifically Scotland - the Isle of Skye's Fairy Pools took second place in the UK overall and 6th place globally, rivalling some of the world’s most idyllic scenery.
The mystical Fairy Pools in the Isle of Skye certainly obliges, ranking just behind the Loe in second place. The famed Loch Lomond also ranks in the top five, with its glistening waters scoring it fourth position.Fairy Pools, Isle of Skye: Made up of rock pools and mountain spring water, the Fairy Pools are an iconic Isle of Skye spot – named after a Scottish legend.
