The rescue operation took over three hours but luckily resulted in all those involved being safe and well.
Emergency services were called out to rescue a family of campers 'washed out' in their tent at Loch Lomond.
Two children and four adults were rescued following torrential rain and thunderstorms. They had to be taken to Ardlui Marina and treated by ambulance staff on the scene. The weather also wreaked havoc for those camping at various sites near the River Falloch, with help required from the Greenock Coastguard Rescue Team as well as crews from Helensburgh and Inveraray to save them from harm.
"LLRB launched and made way to the reported area. On arrival carried out shore search locating the family at Ardleosh on East shore. Crew assisted the family onto the boat and transferred them over to Ardlui Marina and handed them over to Scottish Ambulance Service to be treated.
