Thousands of demonstrators marched across the capital again on Saturday to call to an end to the Israel-Hamas war, with police making three arrests

Thousands of pro-Palestinian protesters joined the latest wave of demonstrations in London on Saturday, calling for a ceasefire in theThe Met Police said one person was arrested after they were allegedly seen displaying a placard that could incite hatred. Another person was arrested for assaulting a police officer, and a third for a public order offence.

At the BBC protest, organisers led chants of “From the sea to the river” – a phrase that some Jewish groups see as an anti-Semitic call to abolish the Jewish state – while students delivered impassioned speeches accusing Britain’s leading universities of being “complicit in this genocide”.A pro-Palestinian protest at Piccadilly Circus

The force said it would deploy spotters to the protests who would film crowds for any activity that might be in breach of public order and terror laws. Support for Hamas, a prescribed terror group, is unlawful in the UK. Rishi Sunak said plans by pro-Palestinian demonstrators to march in central London on Armistice Day are “provocative and disrespectful,” as police said they would do everything possible to prevent disruption.
