When William’s mum passed away in 2018 from non-Hodgkin lymphoma, a form ofHe pushed that outlet to its limits when he decided to take on running challenges, having never been a runner before.
‘My mum passed away from cancer at the start of 2018 and I found myself running as a way to deal with it. I wasn’t very good at talking to people about it, so everyone thought I was doing okay. When he got the good news, he was abroad in LA and had just done his first ever run, having felt jet lagged and in need of physical activity at 4am.
‘I got back from this run and that’s when she called to say she was in remission. I’ve been trying to get back a piece of that happiness with every run that I’ve been on.’William with his friend during his run in America
