Moroccan international midfielder Imran Louza is set to miss the first month of the season as he continues to recover from knee surgery.
“He had the surgery at the end of the season, and I knew that was the situation when I came here,” said head coach Rob Edwards. Louza moved to Vicarage Road from Nantes for £9m last summer but had to be patient, starting only one Premier League game before the 4-1 victory over Manchester United in November.
• Tom Cleverley has not featured so far in pre-season, although he was at the training ground to watch the game with Bolton.
