Love Island's Shaughna Phillips has hit out at Luca Bish’s treatment of Danica Taylor, accusing him of avoiding the new Islander “like the plague”.
Despite their split, Luca still seems convinced Gemma is the girl for him and has said he only sees Danica as a friend.Speaking to OK! in an Instagram Live Q&A, she said: “I didn’t like Luca’s reaction. I get he had the hump, but what is there to get the hump over? He’s not sleeping in the same bed with her. We know that when he gets the opportunity he’s going to go back to Gemma anyway.
“For him to be acting the way he acted, I didn’t like that, and I think he started clocking [what he was doing] because he was like ‘oh I’m not going to make the girl uncomfortable’. Well, you already have for 24 hours! You’ve been treating her like the plague!" Viewers were quick to spot the moment and took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the episode’s dramatic twist.
After going on a date to the beach with Danica, Luca told Gemma he only saw the 21 one year old as more of a “friend” and that he only had “eyes for” her.
