Talented defender Finn Tapp won the iconic reality dating show back in 2020 with Paige Turley
A Love Island winner has returned to the football pitch after breaking up with his reality TV girlfriend. Finn Tapp, who won the sixth series of the dating show with Scots beauty Paige Turley has signed for Banbury United.
Speaking on the new signing on Twitter yesterday, the club said the player would be "utilising his own experiences to mentor young players". While Finn added: "I'm really excited to sign with the club. It's been a positive pre-season for us and I'm buzzing for the season to start." "Couldn’t be happier to finally get back to doing something I love doing. It’s been a long time coming to get the boots back on but I’m so pleased I did. It’s been a tough couple of months putting my head down and working hard to get myself back fit, but I’m feeling good and looking forward to the season getting underway."
But rumours of a split began earlier this year, before being confirmed in recent weeks. Finn, who once dreamt of a career at the top of the game, said previously that the lure of Love Island was too good to turn down.
