'Loved' Heysham dad dies after 'demons got too much' leaving family heartbroken
The family of a dad-of-three 'loved by every person that ever knew him and met him' have set up a fundraising appeal to 'give him the send-off he deserves'.
His 'heart-broken little sister', Bernie Priestley, has paid tribute to the former Heysham High and High and Central Lancaster High School and said they are hoping to raise vital funds for his funeral. She described her brother as the 'life and soul of a community' who was 'loved by every person who ever knew him'.Bernie says that their family are not 'financially well off enough' to pay for Paul's funeral and are asking for the public's help.
"He has struggled with his mental health over the years and lacked the help that he really needed. He was an amazing father to Shane, Charlene and Tamzin. "These demons took his life and left us all mortified beyond words. We are broken in so many ways and are left to pick up all the pieces that are left behind.
