One lucky couple have walked away with a multi-thousand pound diamond after attending the reopening of an iconic jewellers in Northampton. The pair won the literal "hidden gem" after correctly guessing how long it would take to emerge from a melting ice sculpture.
, with customers asked to guess how long it would take the diamond to escape its melting prison. Kelsey and Tom's guess of five hours 56 minutes was just four minutes out. The Grosvenor centre store, which has stood at the entrance to Market Square since the 1970s, has now expanded into the old Burton's store under a seven-figure refit to create a new experience-led luxury retail space complete with VIP consultation room.
Kelsey and Tom weren't the only winners on Saturday either. The first five customers to spend over £100 received a pair of hospitality tickets for a game at Franklin’s Gardens next season, while anyone spending over £50 was entered into a prize draw to win signed Saints merchandise.
