A nurse accused of murdering seven babies and the attempted murder of 10 others broke down in tears in court during questioning about the death of one alleged victim in her care
.and was being questioned by her counsel, Ben Myers KC.
She recalled how one child, identified in court only as Child E, deteriorated before dying in the early hours of August 4, 2015, describing how his abdomen become discoloured and he bled"from his mouth and nose"."Were his parents there?" asked Mr Myers."Had you done something to make this happen?"Letby said she was there when Child E died and helped care for him and his parents afterwards as his designated nurse.
