The Royal Spanish Football Federation chief says he and his family have suffered 'excessive persecution'
The President of the Spanish FA Luis Rubiales has RESIGNED from his post after mounting pressure on his position.
It comes after the Spaniard was was provisionally barred from football activity for an initial 90 days by FIFA while the governing body investigated the incident. Hermoso revealed she did not consent to the kiss that sparked widespread outrage. Rubiales gave the news in an interview with Morgan before releasing a statement on social media that read: "Today at 9:30 p.m. I transmitted to the acting President, Mr. Pedro Rocha, my resignation from the position of President of the RFEF.
"There is the management of my team and, above all, the happiness that I take with me for the enormous privilege of these more than 5 years at the helm of the RFEF.
