Absolute luxury.. and top drawer scran
Visitors will soon be able to stay overnight at the country’s best restaurant as woodland lodges are built on its grounds.
That led to the woodland lodge plan, with seven of the luxury cabins due to be built in the grounds of the 16th century barn. Plans were submitted to West Lancashire Borough Council in spring 2021 and have finally been approved. It continued: “The proposal brings a range of benefits at differing scales. This begins with Moor Hall itself. Whilst visitor accommodation elsewhere in the local area could serve the venue, it would dilute the impact that would be gained by providing the woodland suites within the grounds of Moor Hall.
The importance of Moor Hall’s impact on local tourism was highlighted in a council officer’s report which recommended the approval. It wrote: “It is acknowledged that prior to the establishment of the restaurant and rooms business, Moor Hall and its grounds required substantial investment and repair, this investment is continued through the maintenance of the site as a whole, and therefore significant on-going costs prevail.
