Rain didn't deter the crowds last night

Thousands of people headed to Lytham last night for the third of five days of live music from big names including the Kaiser Chiefs and Sting.

The annual event on Lytham Green kicked off on Wednesday, but last night crowds were out in their droves, with the rain failing to deter music-lovers. Across the five days big acts such as Lionel Richie, Fun Lovin' Criminals, George Ezra, Jamiroquai, Motley Crue and Def Leppard. Other acts set to perform include Scissor Sisters' frontman Jake Shears, Blondie, Gabrielle and Kim Wilde.Festival organisers have shared a series of pictures showing the crowds rocking along to the songs despite the downpours of rain which have been widespread across Lancashire for the last few days.

Tickets are on sale via the website LythamFestival.com. Prices for a general admission five-day ticket start from £272.60.
