There is more disruption for drivers
A major incident is set to cause further disruption on the M1 as emergency works are underway. National Highways England has warned drivers of a lane closure between J30 Sheffield and J31 Worksop on the M1 northbound on Saturday, March 11.The road was closed throughout the night to facilitate a complex recovery and clear-up operation following the earlier 113 tonne crane fire. Lane one of four will remain closed throughout the day, National Highways England said.
In the latest update, National Highways England said: "Lane 1 will remain closed throughout the day on the #M1 northbound between J30 #Sheffield & J31 #Worksop "Emergency resurfacing is required following an earlier 113 tonne crane fire. Repairs will take place overnight to minimise disruption."
