Diversions will be in place
More roadworks are planned across the area's motorway network over the coming week with plenty of activity happening overnight.
Ongoing schemes are continuing along the M6, M61 and M65, including safety barrier replacement on the M65 between Hyndburn and Burnley. The M65 will see full closures overnight, while work on the M6 and M61 is limited to fewer lanes and therefore is not expected to lead to any delays. The latest work on the M61 is covers a stretch of the northbound carriageway from junction 9 to where it becomes the M6 motorway . The work is expected to last until August 25 and involves full closures.A spokesperson for National Highways said: "To ensure journeys are maintained, clearly signed diversion routes will be in place on the M6 and M65 motorways.
