M62 closed after serious crash with long delays - updates

M62 reopened after two people injured in crash

this afternoon . There is queueing traffic approaching the scene, according to the Inrix traffic monitoring system.

A spokesperson for National Highways North West wrote on Twitter: "Traffic is stopped on the #M62 westbound between J21 and J20 near #Rochdale following a collision. @manchesterfire on scene."Delays are building, approx. 3 miles of congestion. We'll keep you updated." In an update at 3pm, they said the westbound carriageway had been fully shut following the 'serious' crash.
