A 61-year-old man tragically died following the crash near Warrington
The M62 in Cheshire has reopened almost 24 hours after a fatal collision that claimed the life of a 61-year-old man. Emergency services were called to the smash near Warrington in the early hours of Saturday morning .
The driver of the Skoda sustained serious injuries and was taken to Warrington District General Hospital. Police later confirmed the man, aged 61 from Wirral, had died.A 21-year-old man and a 23-year-old man who were travelling in the Mercedes have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Two others - also believed to be men - fled the scene on foot.
“As part of our investigation we are keen to hear from anyone who was travelling on the M62, near to Junction 10, at the time of the incident and believes they may have witnessed the collision. The same goes for anyone with any CCTV or dashcam footage of the incident.
