M65 travel chaos after three-vehicle crash near Darwen
The rush-hour incident took place the westbound carriageway between junction four and junction three. Police have since confirmed the collision involved three vehicles - two cars and a van.
One lane, of three, was closed and there were delays of up to one hour at the peak of disruption. All lanes have since been reopened and traffic is easing.It is reported that those involved in the crash only suffered minor injuries, according to police. They were alerted to the crash at 7.46am this morning .
A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: "Three vehicles – two cars and a van – on the westbound carriageway. Minor injuries. Call came at 7.46am."INRIX said: "Queueing traffic due to earlier accident on M65 Westbound from J4 A666 Earcroft Way to J3 A674 Chorley Road .
