A672 Ripponden Road in Oldham closed after collision involving pedestrian
A672 Ripponden Road, in Moorside, has been partially blocked since around 5.30pm, following the incident between A62 Huddersfield Road and Northgate Lane. Transport for Greater Manchester tweeted: "ROAD CLOSURE. Ripponden Road close to Moorside Garage.
"On-going Police Incident. Please avoid this area or take alternative route where possible. Local bus services @FirstManchester are using a diverted route. A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police confirmed that the incident was an 'RTC involving a pedestrian' and witnesses at the scene say that a person was knocked down by car. Manchester Evening News has asked GMP and the North West Ambulance Service for further information about the nature of the incident, including injuries.
