Station Road in Keyworth will be shut from October 31 to December 20
A main road in a Nottinghamshire village is set to be closed for almost two months. while Severn Trent carries out work on a stretch of water pipes.
It comes as part of a £2.4 million investment project to upgrade the pipes and install a new pumping station. The water supply company said it would help meet the demands of a growing population. The closure in Station Road will span from its junction with Park Road to just before the Malt Mill car dealership, according to Nottinghamshire County Council's website. A Severn Trent spokesperson said: “These works will be part of a £2.4 million investment project in Nottinghamshire to upgrade a stretch of water pipes along Station Road and install a new pumping station.
