The project was delayed because during routine checks on underground maintenance, workers discovered outdated utilities that needed to be addressed, Bullock said. Sally Beck said she’s excited about the city’s plan to create streets that are safer for residents and those who commute along the corridor. She’s been a North Second Street resident for almost 30 years and says the speeding cars are a hazard.
