Large queues formed for the opening
A popular bargain store has opened at a Nottinghamshire retail park. Budget chain Boyes opened its new shop at Unit F, The Broad Centre, Sutton-in-Ashfield, on Friday, August 11.
The Boyes store has replaced Oak Furniture Land, which permanently closed its branch after a 2020 announcement by company bosses. Officials from the low-cost department store say it has a "constantly changing product range of over 30,000 different items", with its website claiming 250,000 customers enter its branches every week.
A spokesperson for Boyes, said: "Sutton-in-Ashfield is now open. Thank you to everyone who joined us for the opening of our new store - [there is] lots of everyday quality products: crafts, gardening, fashion, cleaning, household items, and more." A video shared by the business showed queues of people who had turned up for the new shop's opening.
There is another store nearby on Lowmoor Road, Kirkby-in-Ashfield. Other Nottinghamshire locations include Arnold, Warsop, Ollerton, Eastwood, Newark, and Bingham.
