Police issued a widely shared CCTV appeal following the reported sexual assault
A man has been charged after a woman was reportedly raped in her own home. Police launched an investigation following the report that a woman was sexually assaulted at her home in Warrington, on October 2.
The incident was reported at around 5.30am on October 2, following reports a man had entered the property before the female occupant was then raped. Petrus-Ionut Apostoae, 24, of Gorsey Lane, Warrington, was arrested on Monday and has since been charged with two counts of rape and one count of burglary and will appear at Warrington Magistrates Court on Wednesday .
