'Wet fire' sounds very painful
Police describe the spray as “wet fire” due to the feeling when it comes in contact with a person’s eyes
A man has been sent for trial in crown court over an alleged attack inflicting"bodily harm" and using a"wet fire" spray. William Owen, 29, will appear in Cambridge Crown Court on November 3 after being sent for trial by Cambridge Magistrates’ Court on October 6. Owen, of Longman Court Stationers Place, in Hemel Hempstead, is accused of assaulting a man and causing him “actual bodily harm” as well as “administering poison or a noxious thing with intent to injure, aggrieve, or annoy” according to court papers.
