Staff were left 'shaken by the ordeal'
A man has been arrested after a report of an armed robbery involving a 'large kitchen knife' in East Belfast on Friday.
Detective Sergeant McCartan said: “It was reported around 9.10pm that a robbery was ongoing in retail premises in the Upper Newtownards Road area. It was reported that a man entered the shop, armed with what was described as a large kitchen knife."He demanded cash and cigarettes from the cashiers before leaving with a quantity of both.
