A man was arrested after police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in Warwick, Rhode Island on Saturday morning.
Police say the 35-year-old woman who was a victim fled from her home after an assault and ran into a neighbor's house across the street. The suspect, identified as her 42-year-old boyfriend, broke into the house and continued to assault her and two people in the house, according to authorities. Authorities say the woman was found with a gunshot wound on her arm and was taken to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.Sign up for NECN newsletters.
The man was located a short distance from the house and was charged with domestic assault with a deadly weapon in a dwelling house, discharging a firearm when committing a crime of violence, failure to relinquish a telephone and breaking and entering.
