Liam Laffan has been remanded to appear before Blackpool Magistrates Court
Lancashire Constabulary have charged a man after a disturbance in St Annes where several cars – including police vehicles – were damaged.
Officers were called shortly before 9.30am yesterday to St Leonards Road East to a report of criminal damage. After they attended the scene several vehicles were damaged by a car 'driving into them', the force said. A 29-year-old man was arrested at the scene. LancsLive reported yesterday how some people reported seeing multiple police vehicles and sniffer dogs in the areaIn a statement released this morning , the force said following consultations with the Crown Prosecution Service, Liam Laffan, of Oxford Road, St Annes, has been charged with dangerous driving. He is also charged with two offences of assaulting an emergency worker and six offences of criminal damage.
The 29-year-old has been remanded to appear before Blackpool Magistrates Court today . An appeal was issued yesterday for witnesses or anyone with information, including CCTV, Ring doorbell, dashcam or mobile footage, to call 101 quoting log 0353 of August 17.
