Manchester City are without a number of important players through injury, with John Stones joining Kevin De Bruyne on the sidelines.
John Stones will miss the next three weeks for Manchester City after picking up a muscle injury this week.
Now, Guardiola has confirmed that Stones will be unavailable for the next two games, and will potentially miss the September international break for England. Guardiola also said it was his 'dream' for Bernardo to sign a new contract, with an agreement from the player reported to be close. With Stones set to miss the Premier League fixtures with Sheffield United and Fulham, Guardiola has deployed Manuel Akanji as the centre-back asked to move forward into midfield.
City snapped up Croatian pair Mateo Kovacic and Josko Gvardiol from Chelsea and RB Leipzig respectively, while Treble winners Ilkay Gundogan departed for Barcelona and Riyad Mahrez moved to Saudi Arabia. Aymeric Laporte's future at the club is now a hot topic too after City accepted an offer from Al Nassr for his services. Keep an eye on that one over the next couple of days.
