Manchester City are reportedly still confident about signing Matheus Nunes despite Wolverhampton Wanderers' commitment to keeping the full-back.
"He’s suspended for the weekend, unfortunately, but we rejected a bid because we didn’t feel it met our valuation and we move on." The bid was thought to be in the region of £47m and came from City. According to The Sun, Roy Hodgson is hoping to tie Eze down to a new contract in the coming weeks to deter the likes of City and Barcelona from signing him. The 25-year-old would be in line for a massive pay rise which would take him to £5m-per-year.
