by some home fans after Phil Foden put the ball in the back of the net, which was later disallowed by VAR.about the Hillsborough and Heysel stadium tragedies. Now reports have emerged that City’s bus was targeted and images showed their windscreen cracked.First, in 2014 bottles and stones were allegedly thrown, before their vehicle suffered damage before their Champions League clash in April 2018.
He told talkSPORT: “This isn’t the first time it has been done. We’ve seen instances in European Cup games and in big games between clubs where there is a rivalry between Liverpool fans and another club, or there is a lot of jeopardy in the game, then this happens. “People don’t like to say certain things about some clubs because it veers off into a certain territory, but the bottom line is that it is not acceptable.
“It’s not acceptable and Liverpool Football Club have to do something about it. It’s their fans, it’s happening on their watch, and there needs to be a consequence for it. “I hate the idea that the minority can affect the majority, I think it’s ridiculous. I know those who shout the loudest make the most noise and we have a propensity to listen to those guys.
“But when guys are lobbing bricks through a football club’s bus window then you are moving into the area of unacceptability.“Nick ‘em! Sling them in prison for three months and let them lose their jobs, so they can work out the consequences for their ridiculous behaviour.”
