Police have confirmed that a man who was found with a head injury in Rickmansworth has died.
A man was treated for an injury to his head but Hertfordshire Constabulary has confirmed this morning that he passed away.“Enquiries are continuing into the circumstances of the man’s death.”Officers have released no more information at this time about the man or how he sustained his injuries. No arrests are believed to have been made in connection with the incident.
There was a heavy police presence in Parsonage Road all day on Monday with police not leaving the scene until around 8pm, according to a local.The police activity focused on a residential building in Parsonage Road with a number of police vehicles parked in a car park. A blue forensic tent was also put up next to one of the buildings and Parsonage Road was taped off between Rectory Lane and High Street.Residents have been interviewed by officers at the scene with the area locked down for around 14 hours in total.
A fire engine was also photographed in the evening, which had reportedly come to take away a protective screen that had been put up.In an initial statement provided on Monday afternoon, police said: “Police were called by the East of England Ambulance Service at just before 6.15am this morning to report the concern for the welfare of man with a head injury on Parsonage Road, Rickmansworth.“Officers remain in the area while the incident is investigated.
