A 47-year-old man has died after being hit by a train at a railway station in Fife, prompting local services to be halted and redirected.
Police Scotland says it has begun making enquiries into the full circumstances of the tragic incident. Passengers on the affected train are understood to have been made to wait onboard the train for some time before being allowed to disembark. "Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances. The death is being treated as unexplained but it is not believed to be suspicious.”Scotrail has suspended services in the area while enquiries into the death continue. Trains on the Fife Circle line have been suspended, with travellers able to use their tickets to travel on Stagecoach buses between Fife and Dundee.
