A man claims he “stood up for the little guy” after threatening to superglue himself to a Watford shop over a refund.
Ian Fleming, an abstract impressionist artist, said he ordered 100 business cards from Snappy Snaps in High Street but they came back with ‘.con’ in the email. After unsuccessfully requesting a £68 refund, the 65-year-old issued a four-day superglue ultimatum. On Wednesday, time ran out and he strode into the shop armed with a placard.While being videoed, the Watford resident – donning a vibrant cat face T-shirt and top hat – told onlookers: “Right, this is it ladies and gentleman, it’s about time that the small man stood up to the absolute crap and disgusting way that we are treated.
He continues: “He won’t give me my refund, because he says he has to get the refund off whoever gave it [the cards] to him. But consumer law does not work that way.Ian Fleming was recorded unpacking superglue in the shop after being refused a refund.“I had four pints of water down at the pub before I came out,” he then warns, “and after I’ve superglued myself to this door, I’m going to pee myself all over his carpet.
Seconds later, he is seen rejoicing as a worker agrees to refund him.
