Investigators are searching for answers after the disturbing discovery over the weekend, which prompted the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park to close for a bomb squad.
According to investigators, the man ‘illegally entered the park after hours, when no employees or patrons were present.’ ‘He was dressed in black-colored tactical clothing, bearing patches and emblems that gave the appearance of being associated with law enforcement,’ the Sheriff’s Office said. This included body armor and a ballistic helmet. The Sheriff’s Office said he was ‘heavily armed’ with a semi-automatic rifle, a handgun, and additional loaded magazines for both weapons.
