A 28-year-old man from Huyton who was the driver of the car has been arrested
Merseyside Police were called to reports of a crash involving a Black Renault Captur and a pedestrian on Prescot Road at around 4.50pm. Officers arrived at the scene and a man in his 60s was taken to hospital.
The man remains in a critical condition in hospital after suffering a serious head injury. Prescot Road between Balmoral and Onslow Road is closed whilst police continue their investigations. on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving and driving a vehicle whilst unfit through drugs.
