Man shot dead by armed cops 'after threatening people with a knife'
A MAN has been shot dead by armed cops after allegedly brandishing a knife at people.
Police rushed to the scene in Carlisle, Cumbria, this afternoon amid reports of a man threatening people at an address.Armed officers found a man aged in his 40s in possession of a knife just after 3.30pm.The man was hit and pronounced dead at the scene.
