Very sad news from Lancashire Police tonight
A man in his 80s has died after his car crashed into a tree in Withnell. The incident took place today at around 9.40am on Chorley Road.
The force has now launched an appeal for information to find out what happened. Officers would like to speak to witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage.
