Police closed the road for almost seven hours
A man was in a standoff with police for over SIX HOURS on the roof of an amusement arcade. Daniel Prince, 27, scaled the roof of the arcade on Market Street, in Crewe, on the afternoon of June 21.
Officers engaged with Prince for almost seven hours, as the main road through the centre of Crewe was closed off, causing traffic to be delayed late into the evening.The 27-year-old eventually came down at around 10.30pm and was arrested. He appeared at Chester Magistrates' Court on June 23 after pleading guilty to intentionally/recklessly causing a public nuisance. He was sentenced to 26 weeks in prison.
“Prince’s actions caused Market Street, a main road in Crewe, to be closed for seven hours, resulting in significant delays in the local area and also impacting on local businesses.
