The young man had returned to his Dennistoun home at around 1am and kicked a bag of rubbish on the landing of the close. This resulted in Thomson’s young son crying.
The court heard that the victim didn’t call the police at the time but woke up the following morning with injuries. “The complainer kicked the bag, and my client’s two-year-old son was in the house and was crying. It was a wholly inappropriate way to react.
